Outcome 6: Practice digital, networked, and open literacies in support of learning about distributed and open learning

Before participating in EDCI 339, I used Brightspace for all my courses to participate in online learning. After participating in EDCI 339, I only used Brightspace during the first week. During the first week, we finish the introduction and topic 1 on it. My professor Ryan also gave me a lot of replies and advice.

I also interacted with my group members for the first time at MATTERMOST.

During this time I also learned that my group members were from the same country as me, so we moved to our usual chat app, Wechat, for our usual group discussions and assignments.

In this course, I learned about a new chat software (Mattermost) and also completed my communication with the group through the internet chat tool that I usually use all the time.

This class was the starting point for me to participate in distributed and open learning, and I believe I would like to participate in more of these classes in the future!

By completing these activities, I learned about the chat tools “Mattermost” and “WordPress”, which I had not been exposed to before, and learned more about the chat software “WeChat”, which I had been using.

The things I learned matter to me because they were the first steps in my participation in distributed and open learning, which helped me to participate in group communication and meet new people, and to demonstrate the proof of my learning.
